Ahuva Batya
It seems innocuous.
A little flat bread
the goyim mistake
for a cracker.
Yet never has a bread
caused so much
discomfort
to a nation.
Certainly the Israelites
Did not eat this stuff for
eight days as we do now.
If they had, there is no
way they could have
chosen to make the desert crossing.
I know Jews and their bowels.
Eight days of matzah and the whole
motley crew would have stopped,
going no further without immediate access
to milk of magnesia and porta-johns.
